One of the services that the DVSA provides is the ability to check the MOT history of a vehicle, this had been available in England, Scotland, and Wales for a number of years and has now been extended to Northern Ireland making it a UK wide service.
The service allows individuals to check the MOT history of any registered light vehicle. This includes if it passed or failed, and the mileage recorded when it was tested. Additionally, the DVSA has recently improved their digital services allowing individuals to view and amend their MOT reminders and access and print their MOT certificates.
However it is also important to note that Northern Ireland results for tests will only go back as far as 2017 in comparison to in the rest of the UK where cars, motorcycles and vans (light vehicles) can get tests back to 2005 and HGV’S, trailers, buses and coaches back to 2018.
