BCGA Releases New Guidelines on Medical Gas Cylinder Safety and Supplier Selection

The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has published a new Technical Information Sheet and a new leaflet providing guidance on the safety of medical gas cylinders.

Technical Information Sheet 50 provides guidance on the security required for facilities where medical gases may be present and is aimed at facilities managers.

Information leaflet 22 is designed to help individuals in selecting the correct medical gas cylinder supplier. It is important that all gases for medicinal use comply with medical Regulations. The leaflet outlines the steps that should be followed to ensure that medical gas is obtained from an authorised supplier. This includes checking that suppliers have the correct authorisations to manufacture.
