Ladder Association Launch New Toolbox Talks

Three toolbox talk documents have been produced by the Ladder Association and are available for free on their website. The documents each cover a specific topic related to ladder usage:

• How to know when to use a ladder
• How to select the right ladder
• How to secure your ladder

The toolbox talks highlight the risks associated with each of the topics and then provide advice and instructions on what is required. The toolbox talks also include helpful diagrams to show correct and incorrect usage of ladders and, for selecting the right ladder, the standards that are still in use and relevant. Other elements included are five key points to remember, who the toolbox talks are relevant to, and useful references related to the toolbox talks.

Additionally, each document includes a page of additional notes that managers are able to use when delivering these toolbox talks to employees and providing advice specific to managers about each of these topics.
