CITB, the Construction Industry Training Board, have announced that with effect from 26th June 2019 there will be a significant update to the Health, Safety and Environment test to better reflect the range of day to day tasks and responsibilities on site.
The test was introduced in 2001 as a way for construction workers to show they can be safe on the job. It has been updated several times since then.
This time the changes are more substantial and include making the test instructions clearer and new questions covering different areas of on site activities. Instead of two sections of questions there will only be one section, the behavioural case studies and accompanying questions will be removed.
You can find more information about these changes on the CITB website at: https://www.citb.co.uk/courses-and-qualifications/hse-test-and-cards/about-hse-test/planned-changes-to-hse-test/
