Who is this course designed for?
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice qualification is aimed at candidates who wish to broaden their current knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace. Candidates should be in a role which allows them to provide evidence as part of their work activities.
About the course
- Duration: 12 Months
Through flexible contact with your designated assessor via email, telephone or scheduled face to face meetings you will be expected to build a personal portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and application of the rationally set standards.
Mandatory units:
Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risk to health and safety
Develop procedures to safety control and work operations
Monitor procedures to safety control and work operations
Promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace
Conduct a health and safety risk assessment of the workplace
Optional Units:
Investigate and evaluate health and safety incidents and complaints in the workplace
Make sure actions within the workplace aim to protect the environment
Review health and procedures in work places
Supervise the health, safety and welfare of a learner in the workplace
